S.T. Dupont Opus Black X Limited Edition 2004, table lighter. The Jeroboam was created in the 1930s. In fact, it was the first table lighter designed by the artisans of S.T. Dupont. The name “Jeroboam” is derived from the word used by champagne producers for large bottles that have four times the capacity of normal bottles.
The last series of this lighter left ST Ateliers Dupont in Faberges in the early 1950s. Forty years after ST Dupont recreated this most prestigious table lighter, modified to use gas, but still requiring the dedicated know-how of goldsmiths and lacquerers.
This lighter presents an authentic Chinese lacquer, with its silky touch and its pearl luster, confers on every object that it adorns a magical and precious transparent appearance, offering a dramatic depth that no synthetic varnish can match.
Very rare, only 85 in the world. Kept in our safe since these creations were received many years ago! In its original box.
