Quai D’Orsay was established in 1973 and originally aimed at the French market. It was named after an avenue in Paris that once housed the headquarters of SEITA, the former French tobacco company. Until now the only size from the brand available in the UK was the Coronas. However as part of the brand’s relaunch, there will be two new sizes available, both of which will be presented in new packaging and dressed in new redesigned bands.
The first of the two new sizes to arrive in the UK is the Quai D’Orsay No.50 and measures 4 3/8″ (110mm) x 50 ring gauge. This is the same vitola as the Partagas Serie D No.5 and offers smokers a lighter alternative in a popular size. Classified as Light to Medium by Habanos S.A, the Quai D’Orsay brand is a wonderful cigar that is being given a well-deserved moment in the spot light.
