La Galera Anemoi Boreas cigars draw inspiration from Greek mythology that honors the wind. This medium to full-bodied Double Corona features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper covering a Dominican Jacagua Corojo binder as well as Criollo 98 and Piloto Cubano filler grown in La Canela, Dominican Republic. When looking through history, La Galera found the Greeks who understood the importance of wind as much as they did. The blend is named after the four Greek gods of wind: Boreas (North), Notos (South), Eurus (East), and Zephyrus (West). The winds play a very important role when growing tobacco as it informs the best place and time to grow it. So try La Galera Anemoi Boreas Double Corona cigar today!
The northern winds, Boreas, come about in the winter and fall, particularly the rainy seasons. The southern, Notos, is the rarest because it only happens during hurricanes or storms. The eastern, or Euros, winds are considered the normal winds as they are steady throughout the year. Lastly, the western winds, or Zephyrus, indicate rain and tend to come from the southern part of Cuba. Each wind has its strengths and is essential for the creation of this incredibly creative unique blend. Instead of making all five vitolas available to each retailer, La Galera has split up the cigars and is sending four of the five exclusively to specific regions of the USA that are named for their respective winds. However, at Cigar Country, you’ll always be able to find La Galera Anemoi Boreas.
